Traveling by Road:
Take the N1 north out of Johannesburg/Pretoria.
Just over 120 km after Pretoria find the Kranskop toll Plaza.
Take the R33 off-
Drive straight through Modimolle/Nylstroom on the R33 towards Vaalwater.
Drive straight through Vaalwater on the R510 towards Thabazimbi.
To go to Welgevonden Main Gate: Follow the R510 for 24 km after leaving Vaalwater, the gate is on your left hand side (look out for the sign "Welgevonden Main Gate")

The roads leading up to the Welgevonden Game Reserve are tarred.
Private road transfers can be arranged.
NB: Airstrips
Aircraft intending landing on Welgevonden are required to request and receive permission to land on Welgevonden Private Game Reserve. Two gravel landing strips are available on the reserve. The recommended landing strip for Ntwane is the Western Runway, although there is a runway at the main gate as well.

Helicopter
Helicopters can land at the lodge itself as it has a helipad at the entrance within the electric fencing.
